Wind Parks

Our construction of wind parks takes account of the environment and surrounding areas.

Our engagement in wind power expansion is primarily in the construction of roads, cable shafts and foundations using reinforced concrete, gravity-base or rock anchor designs. We have extensive background and experience.

We strive for the greatest degree of local manufacturing possible; for example, we mix concrete using mobile concrete stations, which is often more cost-effective while also providing for more secure logistics. We also construct mass-optimised crane pads and can deliver cable for medium-voltage installations.

Wind power produces renewable electricity and is an exceptional complement to hydropower, where there is the ability to store energy.

Northern Europe's largest wind park

The Jädraås Wind Park, 30 km west of Gävle, is currently Sweden's largest wind park. Once it has been fully expanded, it will be the largest land-based wind park in northern Europe, including 116 wind turbines with a total output of 350 MW. Here NCC is building concrete foundations, roads and erection sites for the turbines.
