NCC has been commissioned by NREP to construct 191 apartments in Espoo, Finland. The apartments will be completed during summer 2023. The project is a design-build contract with an order value of approximately SEK 240 million.
NCC, in a joint venture with SMET, has been commissioned to construct a 1.3-kilometer surface water and stormwater tunnel in central Copenhagen. The project is to be performed on behalf of utility companies HOFOR and Frederiksberg Forsyning and is scheduled for completion in 2026. The order value for NCC is approximately SEK 300 million.
Afa Försäkring has decided to make lump-sum payments of surpluses within the collectively bargained AGS group sickness insurance policy. For NCC this is expected to have a positive impact on EBIT in the fourth quarter of 2021 of approx. SEK 160 M, of which approx. SEK 28 M is reported in the Industry business area and approx. SEK 9 M in other subsidiaries. The remaining approx. SEK 123 M is reported in the Group under Other and eliminations.
NCC divests its Finnish asphalt business to the Finnish based company Asfalttikallio. As previously announced, this is a small unit within NCC that has been loss-making for several years and has a better strategic fit with another owner. The transaction is expected to have a negative impact of SEK 180 M on the earnings in business area Industry in the fourth quarter 2021.
NCC has signed an agreement for Platzer to acquire NCC’s Mimo project in Mölndal on its completion, which is scheduled for 2024, in accordance with the option between the parties. The transaction is based on a property value of just over SEK 1.5 billion.
NCC has now commenced the Nova property development project, comprising approximately 13,000 square meters of office, service and retail space in Järva Krog, Stockholm. The next stage in the development of the neighborhood has thereby commenced, where NCC has already completed the first of three blocks in the area.
NCC has been contracted to improve safety on national road 25, on the Sjöatorp-Alvesta Väst section between Ljungby and Växjö in the south of Sweden. The section will be widened and converted into a 2+1 road. The roadworks are scheduled for completion by mid-2023. The order value is approximately SEK 250 million.
NCC has signed an agreement with Union Eiendomskapital, through the UREF II Holding fund, to build Valle Vision in Oslo. The office building will comprise 22,300 square meters and is the third phase of the Valle area of Oslo. The order value is approximately SEK 500 million.
Over the past four years, serious accidents have been reduced by more than 30 percent at NCC, which supports the continued development of systematic safety efforts. The importance of safe behavior in daily work is being discussed today during the Group’s annual Awareness Day.
Sussi Kvart, representing Handelsbanken Funds, will become a new member of NCC’s Nomination Committee. Peter Guve, representing AMF/AMF Funds, will leave the Nomination Committee on account of ownership changes.
PensionDanmark and NCC have signed an agreement to build a 13,000-square-meter office building for approximately SEK 400 million. The aim is for the structure to achieve a minimum sustainability certification of DGNB Gold.
Healthy orders received and continued earnings improvement
NCC, in partnership with Aros Bostad, is to construct around 155 apartments in the second phase of the new Invernesshöjden residential block in the Östra Mörbylund district of Danderyd. The project has an order value of approximately SEK 320 million.
