DGNB is a leading standard for the certification of buildings and urban sustainability in Denmark.

The certification scheme aims to create a common platform for measurement and evaluation of sustainable construction, and is in Denmark assigned by the non-profit organization Green Building Council Denmark.

The DGNB certification is based on the Brundtland report's holistic definition of sustainability and assesses thereby buildings and urban sustainability from a social as well as economic and environmental perspective. The evaluation also takes technology, process and location into consideration.
