NCC’s newly certified VDC specialists come from all areas of the Nordic region and their expertise will play an invaluable role in all of NCC’s major construction projects. NCC is a market leader in the VDC industry thanks, in part, to its close partnership with Stanford University since 1999.

Few other companies in the world have 50 certified VDC specialists. And even more employees will receive training in the future.

VDC is a new method of working made possible by recent advances in computer technology. The method was first developed in the 1990s and has been integrated into the operations of construction companies throughout the 2000s. More advanced computer programs and new ways of working give construction companies better control over everything from design, planning, engineering and safety to the construction process itself.

This enables faster and higher quality construction and superior designs. VDC also makes it easier to meet the customer’s needs since it is possible to view the building in a virtual environment before it is built and subsequently offer alternative solutions.
