NCC is taking over the personnel and machinery belonging to Nordisk Fundamentering AS. Until the Competitions Authority has approved the takeover, Nordisk Fundamentering will continue as a separate company. After the takeover of the business has been approved, nearly 80 employees in Nordisk Fundamentering AS will be transferred to Hercules in NCC Industry AS.
“We are extremely pleased to be able to take over Nordisk Fundamentering and look forward to receiving our new employees later this year after we get the approval from the Competitions Authority,” says Mats Norberg, Head of Division Hercules in NCC Industry.
Following this acquisition NCC will be among the largest players in the Norwegian foundation market. The Competition Authority is expected to approve the acquisition so that the business can be taken over in Q4 2017.
NCC's strategy is to be a central player in the Norwegian foundation market.
“With new employees from Nordisk Fundamentering and our current employees in Hercules, we create a competitive unit based on the business culture we have in NCC. We form a solid, strong unit that will offer our customers reliable and efficient services,” says Mats Norberg.
Nordisk Fundamentering AS is one of Norway's biggest players in the field of foundation construction. In 2016, the company had a turnover of approximately NOK 252 million and about 100 employees. The company has offices in Enebakk, just outside Oslo, and in Trondheim. Hercules Fundamentering in NCC Industry has offices in Oslo and Bodø.
