NCC in consortium with Wayss & Freytag awarded phase of the West Link project for SEK 3.8 billion

The Swedish Transport Administration has selected NCC, in consortium with the German company Wayss & Freytag Ingeniurbau AG, to build the Korsvägen phase of the West Link project. The total order value is SEK 3.8 billion and the contract is expected to be signed in early December.

The total contract consists of building the West Link tunnel, stretching from Landala, via Korsvägen, Örgryte/Jakobsdal to connect with existing tracks in Almedal. Construction start-up is planned for spring 2018 and the project is expected to run until 2026.

The contract will be carried by NCC in consortium with Wayss & Freytag Ingeniurbau AG, each with an approximate stake of 50 percent. NCC will register the order in the Infrastructure business area in the fourth quarter of 2017, provided the award decision is not challenged before the standstill period expires on December 7, 2017.
