NCC launches fundraiser to support refugees
Together with the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and Doctors Without Borders, we are launching a fundraiser to support people fleeing the war in Syria, Afganistan and Iraq. NCC has already pledged to donate SEK 200,000 (approx. EUR 20,000). Now every employee can help raise additional funds via a collection. The money we raise will be divided equally between UNHCR and Doctors Without Borders.
“Europe is currently experiencing the worst refugee crisis in decades. Old people, adults and children are making their way to safe countries to escape war, persecution and destruction. We can do our bit by creating a way to channel the generosity of our employees who want to help, and that’s what I’m going to do. We’ll also be looking at what opportunities we have to embrace the talent that is coming into Europe. There may well be new resources that can support our business,” says Peter Wågström.
The fundraiser, which will run for the rest of 2015, is aimed primarily at NCC’s employees. However, all donations, including from business partners and friends, are warmly welcome!
